Lady Warriors edge out Edgewood

The girls basketball team defeated Edgewood on Wednesday, Feb. 13 with the final score of 73-53.  Bailey  Drapola had 30 points,  Rebecca Litz had 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5  assists and Gabby Schiska had 7 points for the Lady Warriors.

Warriors with tough loss to the Flashes

The boys basketball team lost to Champion Tuesday, Feb. 12 with a final score of 71-53.  Brady  Reichart had 30 points, Conner Stevens had 10 points, Conner Filipovich  had 9 points, Gage Emery had 7 rebounds and Jake Shingledecker had 6  assist for the Warriors.

Brookfield Bowling news

The Warrior bowlers, both girls and boys finished 8th of 15 teams in the sectional tournament held at Freeway Lanes on Sunday, Feb. 10.  Junior Emilee Bebech finsihed 9th overall out of 86 competitors and will advance to the district competition Sunday, Feb. 17 at Buckeye Lanes in Lorain.
Senior Shawn Hitt was 7th overall out of 88 bowlers, including a very impressive 214 in the final game, and will also advance to districts on Monday, February 18th at Buckeye Lanes.

The first annual Penn-Ohio Challenge was held Saturday, Feb. 9 in Greensburg.  The Lady Warriors finished in fourth place to make the finals round. They had to bowl against the top seeded and PA perennial powerhouse Butler in the opening round, and beat them two to zero. In the finals, the ladies lost to Greensburg-Salem 2-0, losing each game by less than 10 pins. They finished as the runners-up. Please congratulate the ladies on their excellent performance

Congratulations to the Brookfield 8th grade girls basketball team for winning the AAC Tournament Championship on Feb. 7 with a final score of 35-19 over LaBrae.
