Brookfield Local School District implemented Warrior Online Academy four years ago. Since then, it has become integral to the success of students. Brookfield students who are in the program are able to get on track academically, boost their self-esteem, and work towards graduating on time.
Warrior Online Academy was obtained through Fueled Education Services during the 2015-2016 school year. It’s a tuition-free online program that serves grades 5-12. The curriculum is aligned with the Ohio Academic Standards and Common Core. This online program helps school districts to improve the outcome of student learning. It also better serves the diverse student population, along with expanding students’ educational opportunities.
Mr. Fahndrich has been the Director of Warrior Online Academy since its inception in Brookfield Local Schools. Along with all the positives this program has to offer, Mr. Fahndrich, Deb Zebroski, and Janet Sirochman have created the “Big Chief Award” for students who have accomplished what is expected of them.
Several students were recently named “Big Chief” of the week, along with receiving a gift card to Dunkin Donuts for their hard work. Students are given incentives to earn treats throughout the year, such as, a waffle bar, hot dogs and chips, sweet treats, and more. The entire Warrior tribe of Fuel Ed. recently had lunch at Applebee’s, paid for with their sales of popcorn during lunchtime at school.
