Last week, Brookfield Local Schools Superintendent Toby Gibson and Brookfield High School senior Bahr Martin attended the 2026 Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA) National Conference, where they presented “The Brookfield Blueprint.”
SACA is a nonprofit organization that develops industry-recognized certifications for skills involving advanced manufacturing, robotics, automation and Industry 4.0 technology.
Their presentation highlighted how Brookfield combines SACA Industry 4.0 microcredentials, College Credit Plus (CCP) courses and career-focused programming to prepare students for success in college and the workforce.
Through Brookfield’s Industry 4.0 program and CCP courses, Bahr is on his way to earning an associate degree before graduating from high school—providing a powerful example of the opportunities available to Brookfield students.
We are proud to see Brookfield’s innovative career pathways and student success shared on a national stage!

Our Brookfield Transportation Team recently participated in Advanced Driver Training in Perrysburg, where they spent two days sharpening their skills through hands-on learning and professional development.
Training topics included evasive maneuvers, proactive response strategies, and current transportation safety challenges. One of the most impactful experiences involved using impairment simulation goggles, which demonstrated how distractions, fatigue, and other impairments can affect a driver's reaction time, decision-making, and overall performance behind the wheel.
Participants navigated a driving course while wearing the goggles, gaining valuable insight into the importance of staying alert and focused at all times.
The experience reinforced our drivers' commitment to safety and gave them an even greater appreciation for the responsibility they carry each day transporting Brookfield students. Thank you to our dedicated transportation staff for continually investing in their skills and helping keep our students safe!
