Enrollment

Welcome to the Brookfield Local School District! We are pleased to welcome you and your student(s) to our Warrior Family! We understand the enrollment process can be confusing, but we are here to help if needed. To enroll your child into Brookfield Schools, please read the enrollment process information below to get started. For assistance, please contact our Enrollment Coordinator. We can't wait to meet you!

Enrollment Process

In order to enroll your child into the Brookfield Local School District, please complete the following steps:
  1. Go to the OneView Parent Portal and either create an account or update your current account with the incoming student's information. A quick link to the OneView portal can be found on the right.
  2. Once you complete the OneView registration forms, please collect the following documents:
    • Student's original birth certificate (with raised seal)
    • Updated immunization record
    • Two proofs of residency (i.e. electric bill, gas bill, mortgage statement, property tax statement, any legal document tying you to your physical address.) If you do not have one of the listed documents in your name (for example, if you rent your home or are living as a guest in someone else's home) you and your landlord, or the person you are residing with, need to complete a Residency Affidavit. This form needs to be completed in front of and signed by a Notary Public. This form can be obtained from the OneView website in the Demographics section, or in the Quick Links section on the right of this page.
    • Custody paperwork / protection orders / any legal document(s) pertaining to student's custody with the most recent court order and judge's signature, if applicable
    • Parent(s)/guardian(s) driver's license or state issued ID matching student's address
    • Student's most recent transcript and/or report card, if applicable
    • Student IEP/ETR, 504 Plan, WEP/WAP, if applicable
  3. Once OneView forms are complete and documents are gathered, please contact Alysia Williams, Enrollment Coordinator, at 330-619-5744 or at [email protected] to schedule an appointment to bring in the documents and finish the enrollment process.

Open Enrollment

The Brookfield Local School District participates in Open Enrollment. The district permits the enrollment of students from any Ohio district in a school or program of this District, provided each enrollment is in accordance with laws and regulations of the State concerning Inter-District Open Enrollment. Open enrollment is for students who live in Ohio and live outside of the Brookfield Local School District and do not currently attend one of our schools. The district can not accept out-of-state-enrollments.

The application period for new families to apply for open enrollment usually begins in mid-April and runs through May each year. Open enrollment acceptance is considered on a first come, first served basis and is dependent upon class size, attendance, and behavior record. If your child is on an IEP or served by a 504 Plan, you must submit a copy of the child's most recent plan to the district before the open enrollment application will be considered.
