Trunk or Treat

The BPA's second annual Trunk or Treat was a huge success. The weather cooperated and all 360+ elementary students got to dress up in their costumes and parade outside the school for family and friends to see.   Following that, over 40 BPA members decorated their trunks and handed out candy as the kids went by. It was a great fun day and even the elementary staff got to join in the festivities. A huge thank you to Brandy Berena, BPA President and all the parents who participated in Trunk or Treat, help coordinate the event and/or helped in the classroom.

Vehicle Day Helps Students Think

Vehicle Day on October 24 at Brookfield Elementary was a great way for our young students to begin to think about "what I want to be when I grow up" and link that to college and career readiness.
Under the coordination of Elementary Intervention Specialist, Brittany Harrington, 12 local business owners and area services brought their vehicles to the school.  Kindergarten through fourth graders got to look at, get into and even climb aboard vehicles brought in by the following: Brookfield Fire and Police Departments, Ken Roth, fabricator, Chad Smith, mini-excavator, Masury Postal Service,  Ohio State Highway Patrol and Patrol K-9 Unit, GW Becker with
a manlift, Sheehan Trucking's semi, a bus from Brookfield Schools, Trumbull County Dog Warden and Chris Higbee with his touring semi and equipment.
