Brookfield District News


If you are interested in working as a substitute for the Brookfield Local School District, please contact Susie Thomas in the Board Office at 330-448-4930.  A substitute is called when an employee is not in the building due to illness, professional development, etc.  Two forms must be completed and turned in to the Board office.  Simply click on the "about" link at the top right of our website home page, click on "forms" and print (and complete) an employment application and a classified substitute letter form.  You also must have a current BCI fingerprint clearance on file in the Board office.

The following substitute positions are available:

Bus Driver (CDL required) - $14/hr
Cafeteria Cashier, Cook or Cook's Helper - $9/hr
Student Monitor - $9/hr
Secretary - $10/hr
Custodian - $11/hr
Educational Assistant (you must call the TCESC at 505-2800 to apply for this substitute position)

Ethan Crecraft

Ethan Crecraft completed basic training the summer before his Senior year 2017 at Fort Silk, OK.  He is in the U.S. Army Reserves currently reporting to 298th Transportation Company in Franklin, PA.  He completes Senior year graduating from Brookfield and TCTC in the Auto Collision Course 2018.  Ethan departs for advanced individual training to Fort Leanord Wood Missouri June 28, 2018.  

Distinguished Reader at Fairhaven

Mrs. Taylor was a "Distinguished Reader" for a pre-school class at Fairhaven along with several other local superintendents and principals on Thursday, January 25, 2018. She was escorted to her classroom by Alyse.

Waiver Day Date Change

Attention Brookfield Parents: 

We have changed the waiver day date on our 2017-2018 school calendar (from Wednesday, February 21) to TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20. There is no school for students on a waiver day, and the superintendent wants to be sure that you are aware of this calendar change so that you can make the necessary arrangements.  An updated school calendar is available at the link below.
